Construction Is "Growing Strong" on the Main Campus of Doylestown Health

As anyone can tell you who has recently visited Doylestown Hospital, or even driven past along State Street, there is a lot happening on the main campus right now. Construction crews are busy at work, braving harsh winter weather to bring more options, more services—and the future of healthcare— to Bucks County and the surrounding communities.

The foundation for a new outpatient pavilion is quickly taking shape. This new building will house a same-day surgery center as well as physician offices and space for support services, such as rehabilitation medicine. In addition to the new outpatient structure, work is underway for two new parking lots that will add more than 100 spaces to the growing campus.

Construction of the new Center for Heart and Vascular Care is also well underway. This 100,000-square-foot "hospital within a hospital" will accommodate the nationally recognized Reif Heart Institute as well as the new state-of-the-art Clark Center for Critical Care Medicine featuring a 32-private bed ICU . Designed for healing, this new facility is patient-centered and technologically-advanced at the same time and includes:

  • Advanced diagnostic and imaging technologies
  • A cutting-edge Endovascular Hybrid Operating Suite that integrates the latest technology and techniques in minimally invasive surgery
  • Pre- and post-operative suites
  • Thirty private patient rooms within the cardiovascular unit
  • Thirty-two private universal ICU/IMU on the third floor

A late 2019 completion date is scheduled for the new Center for Heart and Vascular Care.
