Doylestown Health Hospice is recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a "Superior Performer" for achieving an overall caregiver and family satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2019 calendar year.
The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge hospice providers that consistently provide high quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care. The 2019 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall CAHPS Hospice survey satisfaction score for more than 1,400 hospice providers.
"We are honored to be part of this life event with these families," said Diana Lovellete, director of Doylestown Health Hospice. "We really do treat patients as if they were our own family members."
Doylestown Health Hospice has been serving patients and families in Doylestown and the surrounding communities for more than 35 years. The multidisciplinary hospice team includes physicians, nurses, home health aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, counselors and more, working together to care for patients and their loved ones. Assistance with psychosocial, spiritual, caregiver and bereavement support is also available.
Doylestown Health Hospice provides consistency for patients and families, with the same nurse and aide providing care who are able to form relationships with families. Greater visit frequency than most other hospice providers also allows for greater caregiver support.
"We emphasize dignity and respect for our patients," added Lovellette, "as you would expect for your own family. We really incorporate that into our care philosophy."
"SHP is proud to present the SHPBest awards to our top-performing customers. We commend these organizations for their continuous focus on delivering the highest quality of care to their patients," said Rob Paulsson, President of SHP.
With one of the largest CAHPS Hospice benchmarks in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made family and caregiver satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the CAHPS Hospice survey.
