DOYLESTOWN (November 9, 2016) – Doylestown Hospital was named among the "100 Hospitals with Great Orthopedic Programs" by Becker's Hospital Review in its 2016 edition of the list.
Doylestown Hospital is one of only a few in Pennsylvania to earn the recognition and joins the Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic and other nationally-recognized hospitals on the list.
The hospitals included on this list are national leaders in orthopedic care. They have received recognition for excellence across various publications, industry-leading organizations and accrediting organizations.
"Our team of orthopedic specialists works together to provide the best possible outcomes and patient satisfaction, all in a suburban hospital setting," said Scott Levy, MD, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Doylestown Health. "By coordinating care, we focus on the patient's well being during the entire process, from education before the surgery, to pain management during the hospital stay and progress well into rehabilitation."
The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected hospitals for inclusion based on analysis of several ranking and award agencies, including U.S. News and World Report top hospitals for orthopedics and hip and knee replacements, CareChex rankings for orthopedic care and surgery, Blue Distinction Centers for hip and knee replacement, Healthgrades excellence awards for joint replacement and orthopedic surgery, Joint Commission certification for hip and knee replacement and Magnet accreditation.
Becker's Hospital Review has published a version of this list since 2011.
