2020 CHIME HealthCare’s Most Wired Recognition

Doylestown Hospital is named a "Most Wired" hospital for 2020 by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). This is the ninth year Doylestown Hospital made the national Most Wired list.

Doylestown Hospital earned 2020 CHIME Digital Health Most Wired recognition as a certified level 8. The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired program conducts an annual survey to assess how effectively healthcare organizations apply core and advanced technologies into their clinical and business programs to improve health and care in their communities.

Years of development in information technology throughout the Doylestown Health system are strengthening integrated networks that securely share vital information across the continuum of care. The result is improved communication among clinical staff and enhancements to patient safety.

"We are honored to receive the 2020 CHIME Digital Health Most Wired Recognition – Level 8 Quality Award," said Richard D. Lang, Ed.D, PMP, CISA, FHIMSS, vice president and chief information officer (CIO) for Doylestown Health. "This achievement is a significant improvement from last year and is an acknowledgement of a tremendous effort by our clinical, financial, and IT/data professionals who make this happen every year! Doylestown Health continues to look for new ways to use technology and data to support care management, clinical integration, and consumer engagement using a combination of innovation and process design throughout the entire continuum. It has been my honor and privilege to lead this effort for Doylestown Health."

"Digital technology has been a driver of innovation in healthcare for many years now, but never to the degree that we saw in 2020 with the pandemic," said CHIME President and CEO Russell P. Branzell. "The Digital Health Most Wired program underscores why healthcare organizations keep pushing themselves to be digital leaders and shows what amazing feats they can achieve. This certification recognizes their exemplary performance in 2020."
