Doylestown Hospital is ranked 10th in Pennsylvania and 173rd in the U.S. as part of Newsweek's annual list of World's Best Hospitals for 2020.
Doylestown Hospital is currently ranked among the Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals in the U.S. for 2020 by IBM Watson Health.
"At Doylestown Health we relentlessly pursue excellence in quality care and patient safety," said President and CEO Jim Brexler. "This is how we remain relevant and indispensable to our community, as we have for nearly 100 years. Achieving regional and national recognition is not our goal, but we humbly accept. Our focus is on what's most important – the patients, family and community we serve."
According to Newsweek, in the U.S., hospitals that made the World's Best Hospitals ranking were also recognized with a Best-in-State award in their respective state. This distinction reflects the fact that these hospitals represent the best hospitals in the respective U.S. state.
This award is determined by Newsweek and Statista Inc., a global statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list can be viewed on the Newsweek website.
Newsweek and Statista developed a complex methodology to ensure the quality and validity of the ranking. Three data sources were used for the evaluation: hospital recommendations from peers, patient experience, and various medical key performance indicators.
