Press Releases |
DOYLESTOWN (April 15, 2019) – Doylestown Hospital is ranked 150th in the U.S. in a new World's Best Hospitals ranking list released this month by Newsweek.
Doylestown Hospital is currently ranked among the Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals for 2019 by Watson Health. Previously, Doylestown Hospital was named a Top Hospital – one of approximately 50 best general hospitals in the nation – by The Leapfrog Group in 2017 and 2018.
"Doylestown Hospital and Doylestown Health set high standards for quality and efficiency of care," said President and CEO Jim Brexler. "We aim to be relevant and indispensable to our community through our strategic plan – we are not aiming for national recognition, but national recognitions come to us regularly."
According to Newsweek, "The hospitals on this list are at the forefront of adapting to… new challenges while providing top-notch patient care." In the Newsweek rankings, fewer than 250 hospitals, not health systems, received U.S. recognition, and 1,000 hospitals worldwide were selected based on its analysis. Doylestown Hospital was the only hospital in Bucks and Montgomery counties, and one of few in the region, to receive national ranking.
The Newsweek rankings are resulted from a survey of physicians, hospital managers and other healthcare professionals; key performance indicators, and patient satisfaction surveys. Twenty-three specialties were analyzed by Newsweek; Doylestown Hospital was rated on 21 of them.
