Mental Health Series

Join us for free bi-monthly presentations on a variety of mental health topics.

An estimated 50% of all Americans are expected to have one or more mental health issues in their lifetime.1 It is critical that we develop the skills and resources to manage our mental health for when life does not go as planned. As the mission of Doylestown Health is to continuously improve the quality of life and proactively advocate for the health and well-being of the individuals we serve, we recognize the importance in providing resources and knowledge on the significance of mental health self-care throughout the lifespan.

Doylestown Health is pleased to announce the theme for the 2019 Mental Health Series: "When Life Throws You Curveballs." Beginning January 2019 and continuing throughout the year, the free educational sessions will explore mental health challenges that present themselves at every stage of life—from childhood through older adulthood. The public is encouraged to attend these bi-monthly presentations, given by local mental health professionals and community partners, to learn how to manage their mental health during various stages in order to live a prosperous life.

Presentations are free and are held every other month in Conference Room J at Doylestown Hospital (595 W. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901) from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. The following are this year's topics:

"Because life does not always go according to plan, we hope that this Mental Health Series gives attendees the knowledge and confidence to care for their mental health throughout life's various stages or 'curveballs'," says Ashley Benton, Doylestown Health education outreach liaison. "We want attendees to leave empowered with the necessary skills to persevere throughout one's lifespan, and by doing so, improve their quality of life."
