The COVID-19 pandemic has dominated the news, and our lives, in the past several months. While the health risks and prevention of COVID-19 has been the focus of attention, other consequences of the pandemic have been equally devastating. Addiction and mental health disorders have not disappeared.

According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health in 2017, 19.7 million American adults battle a substance use disorder and 8.5 million American adults suffer from both a mental health disorder and substance use disorder.1 Today, with social isolation, overwhelming media coverage, economic hardships, and societal turmoil, the need for addiction and mental health services and resources is essential.

Doylestown Health is on the front lines of providing the resources necessary to break down barriers of addiction through the pandemic and beyond.
