If you’ve been a patient at Doylestown Hospital, visited by a Doylestown Hospital Home Health nurse or used the outpatient testing services at the Health & Wellness Center, you’ve experienced Doylestown Health.

Doylestown Health is the new name for the extended array of coordinated healthcare services that reflect the care you’ve come to expect from Doylestown Hospital.

Doylestown Health includes Doylestown Hospital, its expert physicians, outpatient services, wellness centers, home health and hospice care, Pine Run Retirement Community, and more - all putting you at the center of a seamless care experience, designed to keep you well.

Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future

The Village Improvement Association of Doylestown founded Doylestown Hospital in 1923, but the roots of the VIA go back even further. A group of civic-minded women formed the VIA in 1895 to proactively address health issues in their community.

The Doylestown Health logo pays tribute to 120 years of community outreach. If you look closely, you’ll see the new Doylestown Health logo represents the letters VIA. The check mark shape of the icon suggests forward movement with its modern look. The check mark "V" represents a steadfast commitment to providing excellent care.

While many healthcare organizations are opting for mergers and acquisitions, Doylestown Health remains one of the few independent health systems in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Throughout its history, Doylestown Hospital has earned its independence by being a high-quality, low-cost provider of health care and wellness services.

That spirit informs the mission of Doylestown Health, which is to "continuously improve the quality of life and proactively advocates for the health and well being of the individuals we serve."

Partners in Care

Doylestown Hospital has a national reputation for healthcare excellence. Throughout its history, the hospital has maintained a vital partnership with the medical community. Today’s Doylestown Health further promotes clinical integration, collaboration and a continuum of care provided by a dedicated group of healthcare professionals.

In order to provide a complete range of care close to home, Doylestown Health has formed partnerships with other high-quality providers. These affiliations include membership in Jefferson’s Sidney Kimmel Cancer Network, the Jefferson Neuroscience Network, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia neonatal care and the Moss Rehab inpatient unit at Doylestown Hospital.

Health AND Wellness

In the months and days ahead, you’ll see signs of a renewed commitment to wellness for all members of our community.

"Our approach to modern healthcare is not very different from what the VIA envisioned more than 90 years ago: to provide excellent care to make the sick well again, and education and services to keep the well healthy," said President and CEO Jim Brexler.

Many of our clinical Associates participate in community and educational programs that promote health and wellness. These include health fairs, wellness screenings and classes. Physicians and health specialists offer a series of community lectures throughout the year on topics ranging from heart disease prevention to the benefits of a healthy diet.
