Holiday Health Tips

As the holiday season is upon us, it is a time to celebrate with family and friends. It is also a time to appreciate the gift of health and be mindful of your health and the steps you can take to be as healthy as possible this holiday season.

Below are some tips to help during the holidays:

Healthy Eating

Enjoy the holidays the healthy way with a balanced diet and moderation.

Watch the Kids

Keep an eye on kids during the holidays, especially when eating and playing. Potential dangers are all around, especially with toys which may come with small parts and may pose a choking hazard to young kids.

Prevent the Spread of Germs

One of the most common and important pieces of advice to avoid getting sick this holiday season is to cover your cough and use proper handwashing techniques.

Managing Emotions and Stress

Emotions can hit when you least expect it. Be sure to reach out to family and friends for support when needed.

Travel Safety

Ensure you travel safety this season, regardless of whether you are going around the corner or across the country.

Stay Warm

Be sure to take steps to stay warm in winter, especially infants and seniors.

Prevent Injuries and Falls

Holiday season is no stranger to injuries and falls. Use caution when outside as well as inside especially around gifts and decorations.
