The 14th annual Circle of Life Auction, held on November 13th at Doylestown Country Club, raised over $115,000 this year. Proceeds directly benefit Doylestown Health's Cancer Institute and Doylestown Hospital Hospice, which provide clinical, emotional and spiritual care to patients and their loved ones.
The Circle of Life Auction was made possible with the valuable support of our wonderful sponsors and donors. We are especially grateful to this year's Auction Angels: Jeanne & John Hubbard, Lockton Companies, and SEI. Special thanks also to our Auction Benefactors: Duane Morris, LLP, Rita & Jim McClurken, MD, and Penn Radiation Oncology. We are very appreciative of their generosity. Community partners, local businesses and support from individuals provided essential funding to ensure our success.
More than 220 people attended this year's event, chaired by Rochelle and John Thompson, and bid on a selection of premium gifts and gift baskets donated by over 30 of the hospital's departments as well as local businesses and charitable individuals. The night's big winner was Louise McLeod who held the winning ticket for the 2015 Doylestown Hospital BMW Raffle Sweepstakes.
This year online bidding was introduced to the silent auction, which allowed non-attendees to participate from afar and place bids electronically. Over 200 items were available for bid in the silent and live auctions, including exciting sports packages, luxurious getaways, beautiful artwork and more.

The event would not have been possible without professional auctioneer, Mike Ivankovich and emcee, Sheri Putnam who kept the energy high and helped to increase the proceeds this year. For the fourth year in a row, a Special Mission Appeal was also incorporated into the live auction. This year's proceeds benefitted Doylestown Hospital Hospice, a coordinated program offering comfort-focused care when curative treatment is no longer effective. Guests were very generous, raising their paddles for over $5,000.
Doylestown Health Foundationis grateful to all those involved, especially the Circle of Life Auction Committee, an all-volunteer committee who dedicated hours of time and assistance to ensure a successful event.
While the 2015 Circle of Life has come and gone, it is never too late to support Doylestown Health's Cancer Institute or Hospice programs.
