Doylestown Health's Cancer Institute and Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia are collaborating to provide a free series for cancer survivors, "Celebrating Your Journey – Honoring Our Cancer Survivors." The series consists of four days of wellness events focusing on self-expression, awareness and emotional well-being for cancer survivors.
Events will take place Monday, September 11, 2017 through Thursday, September 14, 2017. Registration is required for each event.
Painting Your Journey
Monday, September 11
Cancer survivors are invited to paint with a twist! "Painting Your Journey" is an event in which survivors can express their cancer journey in a meaningful way. Materials will be provided.
Journaling Your Journey
Tuesday, September 12
There is an author inside all of us. Begin to find the words to express your own experience and author your journey. Journals will be provided.
A Mindful Path Beyond Your Journey
Wednesday, September 13
Cancer survivors are invited to come learn about alternative therapies to help build a more mindful self. A range of therapies including Reiki, massage and acupuncture will be offered.
Celebrating Your Journey
Thursday, September 14
Doylestown Health's Cancer Institute and Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia are inviting cancer survivors to celebrate their journey! Hear local psychologist, Pamela Ginsberg, PhD, speak about the benefits of mindfulness for your continued emotional and physical health. Refreshments will be provided.
