Doylestown Health's Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine is pleased to welcome Eric A. Marchant, MD, FACS, as medical director.
With decades of experience as a board-certified plastic surgeon and certified wound care specialist, Dr. Marchant brings with him broad expertise in the care and treatment of all types of acute and chronic wounds that result from trauma, surgery, diabetes, poor circulation, immobility and more. Before joining the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine, Dr. Marchant was in private plastic surgery practice for 27 years and was formerly the president of the Doylestown Hospital Medical Staff.
Dr. Marchant completed his undergraduate studies at Dickinson College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. He earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He received his surgical training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences where he completed plastic surgery residency and Polyclinic Medical Center where he also completed general surgery residency.
Because of his vast experience in plastic surgery, Dr. Marchant can perform skin grafts, skin and muscle flaps and other surgical treatment options in addition to the laboratory evaluation, medical imaging, debridement and advanced dressings offered at Doylestown Health's Centerfor Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine.
