Doylestown Health Hospitalists

Doylestown Health Hospitalists are physicians who specialize in the care of patients who are admitted to the hospital. At Doylestown Hospital, all of the hospitalists are board-certified in Internal Medicine.

The hospitalist coordinates an inpatient's care, and assists in the transition to follow-up care when the patient is discharged.

Providers and Team

Doylestown Health Hospitalists includes board-certified physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who practice at Doylestown Hospital in the care of inpatients. The hospitalists of Doylestown Hospital are board-certified physicians who are broadly experienced in all aspects of patient care.

Hospitalists work with specially trained nurse practitioners and a physician assistant to deliver comprehensive patient care. Physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) are medical professionals who work as part of a team with the hospitalists. They are graduates of accredited educational programs and are nationally certified and state-licensed to practice medicine.

Hospitalists may call on other specialists such as cardiologists, radiologists, gastroenterologists and many others members of the Doylestown Hospital medical staff to consult on the care and treatment plan for a patient.

Doylestown Health Hospitalists provide care 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year for patients admitted to Doylestown Hospital.

Hospitalists do not maintain private practices, but are responsible for admitting and managing patients while they are in the hospital.
