Doylestown Health Primary Care Services
Primary Care is often the first point of contact for a patient's healthcare needs. Many patients develop long-standing relationships with a primary care provider (PCP) who can spot issues before they become major health problems.
Primary care providers are advocates for the patient and coordinate the use of the healthcare system in the patient's best interest. PCPs encourage patients to be an active partner in their own healthcare.
Primary care providers may have a specialized area of focus and expertise, such as family medicine that includes care for all ages or may be centered on adult health. Doylestown Health Primary Care offers doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants to care for every life stage addressing a variety of medical needs.
Family medicine providers offer patient-centered healthcare for patients of all ages and through all stages of life. A family physician focuses on the whole person in a long-term, ongoing relationship with their patient. Our board-certified family physicians diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, provide routine health screenings and wellness education to prevent illnesses before they develop.
Our board-certified internal medicine physicians are experts in treating an array of conditions affecting adult patients, from minor illness or injury to chronic conditions.
The experienced team at Doylestown Health Internal Medicine takes time to learn your unique medical history, advises on appropriate health screenings and encourages preventive health options. If a specialist is required for further diagnosis or treatment, your internal medicine provider works in collaboration with the specialty team, all with your well-being in mind.
Our geriatric medicine providers specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease and disability in older adults. Known as a geriatrician, these primary care doctors are specially trained in the aging process and treat patients who are typically age 65 years or older.
Our geriatric medicine providers are experts in conditions that are more common to this age group such as frailty, incontinence, problems with balance or memory and medication-related side effects.
