Acute Psychiatry Services
Doylestown Hospital, in conjunction with Lenape Valley Foundation, offers acute psychiatric services with the goal of providing timely intervention for those with mental illness experiencing emergencies. Services include evaluation, treatment if necessary and referrals to appropriate community resources.
The Lenape Valley Foundation staffs Acute Psychiatric Services and a crisis hotline at Doylestown Hospital that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Situations that may require acute psychiatric services include, but are not limited to:
- Individuals of any age who require an urgent mental health evaluation
- Substance abuse
- An urgent psychiatric medication evaluation
- Suicidal/Homicidal individual
- 302 Involuntary commitment
Acute Psychiatric Services are located adjacent to the Emergency Department and are available to anyone, regardless of insurance. Patients may be transferred to an inpatient psychiatric facility when appropriate or referred to an outside agency or resource for further care.
Lenape Valley also offers Mobile Crisis Intervention Services for residents of Bucks County age 18 and older. To request Mobile Crisis Intervention Services, call 215-785-9765.
