Unite for HER: Breast Cancer Support
Providing Complementary Therapies to Breast Cancer Patients
Doylestown Health's Cancer Institute has partnered with Unite for HER, a non-profit organization committed to helping women diagnosed with breast cancer navigate their way through treatment by providing complementary therapies designed to promote physical and emotional wellness.
Through our partnership, breast cancer patients within 18 months of diagnosis are eligible to participate in a wellness day where they learn about the benefits of complementary therapies and create a personal plan for incorporating these fully-funded services into their treatment and recovery.
In a small group setting, trained professionals lead discussions on the uses and benefits of acupuncture, massage, Reiki, yoga, meditation, nutrition, professional counseling (including sexual health), caregiver support and more.
A wellness passport is also available to participants to cover one year of treatment costs from approved providers in the community for the therapies they feel will best support their everyday health and wellness.
If you would like to participate in an upcoming wellness day, please contact:
