Women's Diagnostic Centers

Doylestown Health's Women's Diagnostic Centers specialize in the earliest possible detection of breast disease. Women may choose to come to Doylestown Hospital or The Health and Wellness Center in Warrington, PA for their mammograms. Our centers use only the latest digital technology enhanced by computer-aided detection (CAD) software. The CAD system acts like a second set of eyes and tags potential abnormalities for the radiologist reading the digital image.

3D Mammography Coming to Health & Wellness Center

Scheduled and walk-in mammography studies are not available at the Health & Wellness Center until July 18 as we upgrade equipment to provide 3D mammography. On or about July 18, two-dimensional mammography will be available by appointment and for walk-ins at the Health & Wellness Center. 3D mammography is expected to be available at the Health & Wellness Center on Aug. 8.

In the meantime, the Women’s Diagnostic Center of Doylestown Hospital can accommodate patients who schedule appointments for 2D and 3D mammography. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 215-345-2274.

Women's Diagnostic Center Services include:

Breast Care Team

At Doylestown Health, we take a team approach to treating breast disease that relies on the expertise of a variety of physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and the most appropriate treatments. While the initial diagnostic work might be performed by a radiologist, each patient's treatment is unique and may involve a range of specialists including surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, pathologists and plastic-reconstructive surgeons. Doylestown Health offers convenient access to all of these board-certified specialists.

Doylestown Health's Breast Cancer Nurse Navigator is present from the beginning to help women with positive diagnoses navigate the unfamiliar terrain of selecting and managing their treatment options. In addition, Penn Medicine's Cancer Risk Evaluation Program (CREP) at Doylestown Hospital is specifically designed for women who want information about their personal risk for breast and ovarian cancer.

A physician's order is required for all services at The Women's Diagnostic Center. Managed care patients also require a referral for certain studies.
