Treatment Options

Doylestown Health's Orthopedic Institute provides advanced treatment options for a wide range of conditions ranging from bone breaks osteoarthritis, offering both surgical and non-surgical therapies.

Non-surgical Options

Oral medications such as Tylenol (acetaminophen), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate can significantly help reduce inflammation and pain in the joints. Orthopedic pain management specialists may also recommend injectable medicines like steroids or a treatment called viscosupplementation, in which a lubricating fluid found naturally in the body is injected into the joint to enable the bones to move smoothly over each other.

Same-Day Joint Replacement for Rapid Recovery

Our Same-Day Joint Replacement Program is an innovative rapid recovery program that that allows patients to have joint replacement surgery and return to the comfort of home all in the same day.

Highly motivated, qualified patients benefit from rapid recovery options, including same-day outpatient surgery, as part of the Orthopedic Institute's innovative total joint replacement program for hips, knees and shoulders.

Same-day Joint Replacement patients enjoy:
  • No hospital stay
  • A faster recovery period

Total Joint Replacement Surgery

When other treatments have failed to bring relief, it could be time to consider joint replacement surgery. Arthroplasty is the surgical reconstruction or replacement of a malformed or degenerated joint. While knee replacement surgery and hip replacement surgery are the most common, joint replacement can also be performed on shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers and ankles.
