Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD) is a common dysfunction of the jaw. The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the most commonly used joint in the entire body. Like any other joint, the TMJ is susceptible to overuse, inflammation, tightness and spasms in the surrounding muscles.

About Our Program
Doylestown Health offers physical therapists with specific training in management of the TMJ. After a thorough evaluation, a therapist will develop a personalized treatment plan to assist in pain relief, while promoting improved mobility and function of the TMJ.
