Doylestown Hospital earned a Press Ganey 2021 Guardian of Excellence Award® for Patient Experience.

Press Ganey recognizes Doylestown Hospital as a top-performing healthcare organization achieving the 95th percentile or above for performance in patient experience in the Emergency Department.

The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized achievement for leading healthcare organizations. Presented annually, the award recognizes hospitals and health systems that consistently sustained performance in the top 5% of all Press Ganey clients.

The Doylestown Hospital Emergency Department is staffed by certified emergency physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, registered nurses and patient care technicians. They are dedicated to teamwork in a state-of-the-art facility that opened in April 2010. With 39 private treatment areas, two critical care suites and a designated pediatric/minor acute care area, the ED is equipped to handle any emergency while offering patients and their families complete confidentiality and comfort.

“The Emergency Medicine team at Doylestown Hospital has consistently demonstrated selfless dedication to providing high-quality care for our community,” said Brenda Foley, MD, FACEP, Medical Director, Emergency Department. “Particularly during the challenging climate of the COVID-19 pandemic, Doylestown Hospital’s Emergency Department remains a leader in the delivery of compassionate care for our patients. “Press Ganey is honored to recognize Doylestown Hospital’s Emergency Department as one of the nation’s leaders in patient experience,” said Patrick T. Ryan, chairman and chief executive officer, Press Ganey. “This award reflects an unwavering commitment to earn the trust and loyalty of patients throughout unimaginable challenges.
