Doylestown Health announced the appointment of Sean C. Reinhardt, MD, to the position of Chief Medical Officer. He will begin his tenure on June 3, 2024.
Dr. Reinhardt, a board-certified cardiologist and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, joined the medical staff at Doylestown Hospital and Central Bucks Cardiology in 2007. He has held numerous leadership roles among the hospital’s medical staff, most recently serving as president, a position he held since 2023.
In this role, Dr. Reinhardt looks forward to championing the needs of patients, “I’m excited to take on this role, but personally, I’m looking forward to having an impact on the lives of our patients and the community I call home,” Dr. Reinhardt said, “The health and wellbeing of every individual we care for is incredibly important to me.”
“Dr. Reinhardt has been a strong advocate for accountability and the commitment to excellence for which Doylestown Health has come to be known,” said Doylestown Health President and CEO Jim Brexler.
“He is not only an excellent physician but has also shown himself to be a highly respected leader among his colleagues and everyone here at Doylestown Health.
I’m very pleased that he is joining my leadership team and accepting this critical role at such an exciting time in our organization’s history,” Brexler added.
“We have an identity and a culture that is unique to Doylestown Health,” Dr. Reinhardt explains, “Our patients and their families tell us time and again that it’s the compassionate care they receive here that sets us apart.”
Preserving that unique culture will be one of Dr. Reinhardt’s key priorities, “We want our current and future patients to know that high quality care in nearly every specialty can be found here at Doylestown Health, close to home,” he said.
Dr. Reinhardt brings a wealth of clinical experience to the role, including training in cardiology and additional board certification in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, vascular imaging, and cardiac CT angiography.
Dr. Reinhardt graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his internship and residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center. His cardiology fellowship was at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School – Camden. He has been listed annually among Philadelphia Magazine’s regional “Top Docs” since 2019.
